GASTROGUIDE is a prospective multicentre study into the diagnostic value of tumour-guided cell-free DNA analysis (cftDNA) in peritoneal fluid in patients with gastric cancer. The aim is to develop a more reliable method for detecting peritoneal metastases than the current cytological analysis, and for identifying patients at increased risk of occult peritoneal metastases.
